Exciting News: Sound Chiropractic

I am excited to announce that I will be working at Sound Chiropractic & Health Science Centres two days a week starting this week! They are located at Larry Uteck in Bedford, a very convenient and up and coming area in between Halifax and Bedford. I will be there Wednesdays and Fridays. Health Expo with Symmetry

Happy New Year! I hope 2014 is starting off well for everyone.

Does health and wellness happen to be one of your New Years resolutions? If so, why not kick start the New Year with a weekend packed full of informative health, fitness and lifestyle information.

I am excited to announce that our team at Symmetry Wellness Centre/Sound Chiropractic will have a booth at the OptiMYz Live Health Expo here in Halifax January 11-12th at the Cunard Centre! That is this weekend! A weekend pass is only $10, and children under age 18 get in for free. I’d say thats a bargain! Come join us at the Expo for your chance to win gift certificates and prizes, get free exercise classes and brief visits with our massage team, chiropractic team and me!

The Next Big Adventure

2013 was a very busy, stressful, yet exciting year for me and my fellow classmates, who I can now call my colleagues!

In June, 4 years of Naturopathic Medical school came to an end when we celebrated with friends and family our accomplishment of becoming Doctors! I was proud to be surrounded by such bright and caring individuals who I know will go on to do great things in our profession. In August, we tackled our final board exams, which were a daunting task, however we managed to get through it.

I was then lucky to be able to celebrate and spend time with my family in Italy for a few weeks in September. The trip turned out to be one of the best we've ever taken! After a quick turnaround at home, I was off again to my new and final destination of Halifax, NS! I am (mostly) settled and can now call Halifax home, and it feels great.

Practicing as an ND is my newest adventure and I am excited to announce that I am now accepting patients at Symmetry Wellness Centre in Dartmouth, NS! This is a new multidisiplinary clinic with a great group of professionals including massage therapist, chiropractors, and acupuncturists. You are welcome to call in and book an appointment with me or just stop in and say hi!

My path to health and happiness

I am no writer, but I am passionate about health, happiness and living life to its fullest.

I was once advised to write in a journal, but even though I believe that is great advice, it never stuck for me. Perhaps because it is simply pen and paper…no gadgets, colour, etc…or maybe because I am used to people knowing my business :). For those that know me, I love to share, so this is my own way of sharing my experiences and inspiration towards a healthy and happy life.

I am now living in Halifax, NS and happy to be practicing Naturopathic Medicine after four long years in the program. I have learned a lot about myself and health in the past few years, and I look forward to continuing that journey. This path to health and happiness is only just beginning, and I wanted to share it with you. Whether it be articles, recipes, quotes, music or books…take out of it what you want. Enjoy. xo
