Dr. Karen Wallace (formerly Frackowiak) is a licensed naturopathic physician who is passionate about living a healthy and happy life —and who treats patients with the same goal.

An interest in medicine and her personal health issues led her to discover Naturopathic Medicine in university. Dubbed the “fragile one” in the family, mostly due to struggles with a sensitive stomach and skin, Dr. Karen has had lots of experience experimenting with different diets and treatments and with healing the body from inside out, an important aspect to her treatment.

After earning a BSc in biology at Acadia University, Dr. Karen went on to complete a four-year doctorate in naturopathic medicine at Vancouver’s Boucher Institute of Naturopathic medicine, before returning to Nova Scotia, drawn by the friendly vibe of the East Coast. She loves being back on the East Coast spending time with family and friends cooking healthy delicious meals, practicing yoga and spending time in the outdoors. She is a member of NSAND and CAND and holds her license with CNDA of Alberta.

Dr. Karen treats an array of health concerns with an emphasis on using food as medicine and key lifestyle modifications. Using a combination of nutrition, botanical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, counselling and body work, she will craft a personalized treatment plan to help you take several steps forward and achieve your health goals.
